The friendly breakfast staff welcomed me with delicious tamales, making each morning special. However, a lack of consistent customer service and noisy doors affected my overall comfort.

I loved the hotel's location in northern Bogotá. It feels safe and has a vibrant atmosphere at night. There's a ton of good food nearby. Eric Kayser had delicious cakes, and the Ugly American Bar & Grill had some mean burgers. The staff were friendly and helpful. The bed in the Standard Queen Room was very comfortable, making it easy to get a good night's sleep. However, the hotel lacks air conditioning, which was a disappointment, especially during warm nights. I heard some noise from outside in the evening and at night. Breakfast was decent but lacking in variety. a few more options would have been nice. Overall, the experience was solid, but improvements are needed in sound insulation and dining variety.

The hotel boasts a prime location on a quiet street that grants easy access to a variety of bars and restaurants, perfect for evening outings. The spacious room came equipped with a useful capsule coffee machine, making those early mornings a little brighter.

The absence of air conditioning made for stuffy nights, and having to crack open the window for fresh air left me feeling a bit exposed to prying eyes from the adjacent buildings. There was a noticeable amount of noise disturbance, especially from the street and neighboring rooms, which hindered my ability to fully relax. The bathroom also had minor maintenance issues that could use attention for a better experience.

A shocking welcome experience

The hotel is in a great location close to many restaurants and shopping areas. The staff tried to be helpful despite the issues I faced.

Upon arrival, my reservation was lost, and the room I was offered was dirty. I ended up switching rooms three times, which was frustrating.

The dining scene around Mercure is a delight! I stumbled upon Eric Kayser, where the cakes are pure magic. Also, the nearby Ugly American Bar & Grill serves up some mean burgers that are perfect after a day of exploring. Plus, the T-Zone location is killer for nightlife!

The room was decent—bright with good privacy blinds. The minibar was well-stocked and the water pressure was solid. Only downside? The bed was way too hard, which made for an uncomfortable night's sleep. Would've loved more comfort for my stay.

It was just a proper fit for a short-term stay in Bogota with outstanding value for money. I had some trouble with my room, but the front desk manager went out of their way to help me out by getting something from the refrigerator. Make sure to ask about any renovations happening nearby before you book.
